St Lucia: Little Red Dress
So we are staying in the Castries area in St Lucia - coined the city of culture. There's so much going on here if you make sure you're not stuck in one of the all inclusive hotels where it becomes hard to venture out. Staying in an apartment here has meant we have the freedom to wander around, we are right in the hustle and bustle and also we just so happen to have what they say is the best view in St Lucia on our balcony. (all for a fraction of the price of staying at the all inclusive hotels). What you will notice in St Lucia are the colourful buildings and shacks. I love the painted sheds with coca cola, blue water or sprite on them. The familiar logos seem to stick out against the surroundings in a good way - blending with the colours, but the sharpness is what makes them stand out.
What I'm wearing: I decided to keep things bright and colourful in St Lucia. Scouring for summer holiday clothes in December was much trickier than I'd imagine but then I hit onto the H&M website (I'll admit not one I would usually go to) and found some real gems for a great price. That's where I picked up this pretty little red dress
I love the tight waist which creates a nice silhouette, but the rest of the dress is fairly loose fitting for an elegant look. It also makes for a super comfy one.
I think you can never get too much red - so paired the dress with a bold red lip.
This dress can be worn like this or in a halter neck style which is the way H&M suggest but I like this look as it seems less fussy, but hey you get a two in one look.
