Spa Day! Cowley Manor
One of my favourite places to be all year round in the cotswolds. The thing I love about Cowley Manor is that its a large country house with the expected extensive grounds and grand exteriors, but unconventional interiors and quirky artwork. But this week I was enjoying the 'C - side' spa, equipped with a gym, multiple treatment rooms, bar area and not one, but two swimming pools. Sounds about right.
So I know it may look like the middle of summer but this is February. The pools are both heated and so to me I was able to totally pretend it wasn't pretty freezing outside, despite the beautiful sunny sky we were graced with. I went with my mum and we decided to start with a workout, we are doing Kayla's guides (which i will blog on later) and the gym was perfect for this! When things got a bit too hot we took our walking lunges out onto the pool side, looking really cool to those that were just chilling inside.
Ps yes Im obsessed with these Victoria's secret leggings I bought in America!
After our workout we showered and enjoyed relaxing in the indoor pool and sitting in the warmth with a drink from their menu, ranging from cocktails to herbal teas.
Included in our spa day was lunch! I was expecting some yummy but stereotypical healthy food, but was really pleasantly surprised by the interesting options they had (and still healthy). I opted for a squid salad with water melon, pumpkin and coconut and it was all id ever wanted and more.
After our light lunch we were able to relax for a bit before being taken to our treatment rooms for our massages we had booked. All the treatments at Cowley Manor use Green & Spring products which have been my favourite since the first time I went there at aged 16 or something. Green and spring use natural spring waters and herbs found in the ground. And all the aqueous based products that green and spring have contain natural spring water that is actually sourced from the cowley estate! So when I first entered the room, the aromas of all the green and spring products greeted me and I was asked to pick some music to listen to during my treatment. Then began some serious relaxation.
If you decide to visit Cowley Manor's spa or just stay at Cowley Manor, I would also recommend heading to their converted stable block which houses their shop; The Hambledon. Where you'll find a beautiful array of womenswear, menswear, jewellery and home ware from brands you may or may not know.
So next time you're heading to the cotswolds, make sure Cowley Manor is on your list, for an overnight stay, dinner or a day at the spa.
