Days Out In London: Kew Gardens
If you've never been to Kew Gardens you are completely missing out. Visiting a garden might sound pretty grandma-esque but Kew Gardens is for grandmas, babies and everyone in between. It's the perfect day out now that the weather is getting better and such a nice change from the busy streets of London.
The price is a little expensive at £16.50 (with £1.50 added as a donation, you can remove this though) but theres so much to see, its going to be worth your money. Theres over 130 hectares of land where you can walk through some seriously cool tropical glass houses, where you can momentarily forget you're in London and not in the depths of a rainforest. There's a beautiful serene lake and giant lily pads in the waterlily house. Stop for a bite to eat at their cafes whilst browsing the endless array of stunning tulips amongst other beautiful flowers. I loved this for a day out and next time Illl be taking a book as theres plenty of quiet spots to hang out amongst some stunning scenery.
I took a couple of pictures for you all to enjoy...
Below is way up high in the tropical glasshouse. I absolutely love the architecture of all of the greenhouses and the statues they have around the gardens.
How amazing does the tropical glasshouse look here:
So if you have an afternoon or even a day free in London, I would recommend a trip to Kew Gardens for your dose of nature and some spectacular scenery.
