RED ALERT - Trend Alert

So post fashion week, I wanted to look into a trend that was very dominant both in street style and on the runway – RED. I couldn’t be happier about this because first of all red is what I think ‘suits’ me, it’s a colour I love to wear, it’s a bold colour and it’s a fun colour. Reason number two is when a trend is a colour, everyone is likely to have something they can recycle and wear or it’s a whole lot easier to source if you don’t, so we can all feel fashion forward and bang on the mark.

(shows from L-R: Chloe, Balenciaga, Roksanda, Donna Karen)

An extremely fiery shade found at the autumn/winter 2017 shows, designer after designer dressing their models in varying shades of red head-to-toe. These ladies in red give us inspiration for how we can rock the red trend this Autumn Winter, be that in a chunky knit, a tracksuit, a coat, shiny dresses or an evening dress. Red comes in all shapes and sizes.

(Looks from L-R: Alexander McQueen, Delpozo, Giambattista Valli).

So how can you wear it?

- Don't fuss, red speaks for itself, the drama and the 'look' is the colour.

- Patent takes the red hot trend to seriously red hot. Bold, shiny and dare I say sexy!

- Not sure which item to rock the red in - try first on what you consider your best asset. Killer legs? Grab yourself some patent red trousers to accentuate your best feature.

- Or are you still not sure on red in your wardrobe? Add a splash of colour with your accessories.

So here is my high street edit...
